Dr. Daren Lin graduated from the University of Western Ontario Medical School and completed Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residencies at McMaster University, where he now serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor since 2009.
With over 15 years of experience in ultrasound-guided procedures, Dr. Lin holds Level 3 injection training certification from Sports Medicine Ultrasound Canada. He has a GP Focused Practice designation from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in Pain Management. He has hospital privileges at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, where he cares for patients in the Emergency, Inpatient, and Oncology departments.
Dr. Lin is also certified in Acupuncture by the Canadian Academy of Medical Acupuncture. He integrates this holistic knowledge into his practice to manage painful conditions, particularly in ultrasound-guided trigger point injections.
Dr. Lin’s commitment to sports performance is evident in his role as a physician with the Guelph Storm during their triumphant 2019 OHL Championship season. Beyond his medical pursuits, Dr. Lin is the goaltender for the Guelph physicians hockey team, the Goodtimers. He has three children, and he loves exploring the outdoors with them.
